Can you mount a TV over a fireplace?

Often, yes—but the wall material, heat, height, and construction behind the finish matter just as much as the TV itself.

Check the surface and structure

Drywall, stone, tile, brick, and concrete each require different tools and fastening approaches. Finished surfaces deserve a slower, more deliberate plan before any drilling starts.

Think about the viewing angle

A fireplace can push the screen higher than normal. That may be fine for a secondary room, but a primary viewing room may benefit from a pull-down mount designed to lower the TV for movie time.

Keep the finished look intentional

Cable management, soundbar placement, and the reveal around the TV all shape the final result. The best fireplace installs feel designed into the wall instead of simply added to it.

Use the right installation path

Share a photo of the fireplace wall during booking. That lets VistaMount identify whether the project fits standard pricing or needs a custom review.
